Google announced a voice assistant years back, but the real implementation happened when the company designed an advanced Google assistant that controlled by voice, and it dominates Apple voice assistant SIRI and Alexa voice assistant by Amazon.
No one can deny that voice assistant technology has taken the second step into the development, but the voice assistant features are not used and accepted by the majority of the smartphone users in the world right now. But Sometimes the ok google feature stops working.

1. Disable Third-Party Voice Assistance
Enabling multiple voice assistants in your smartphone can cause trouble in the working of Google Assistant.
Third-party voice apps use the same microphone as Google assistant, and it might cause an error because two lions cannot live on the same mountain. You have to uninstall or disable the third-party apps like Samsung S-voice that does not interfere unless you have activated it.
If you have enabled the Samsung S voice by mistake and it interferes with the Google Assistant. You can disable it by performing the steps given below:
How to disable the Samsung S-Voice?
1: Go to settings.
2: Now find “Application manager” in the settings.
3: The applications will take few moments to load in the tab, but wait for a moment, and select “ALL” from Download > SD Card > Running > ALL.
4: Scroll down until you find the application “S-Voice.”
5: Tap on the app and tap on “Clear Data” and “Clear Cache.”
It will remove all data and settings saved while using the application. Make sure you don’t open the S-Voice by mistake, or it will enable automatically.
Do not forget that other manufacturers like HTC ships their smartphone with their version of voice assistant like HTC Sense U11+, so you have to figure out your manufacturer application.
2. Check Microphone

3. Google Assistant Couldn’t Recognise Voice
Google Assistant is an application that can recognize your voice at the same frequency. In many cases, we find people saying “Ok Google” normally, but they change their tone by saying “OKKK Gooogle.”
The AI cannot recognize different voices, and it only recognizes your voice in a specific frequency, and you have to say it in the same frequency every time you use Google Assistant.
You cannot expect the AI to recognize your voice when you say it in a different frequency, so you have to retrain your voice in the settings, then it records different frequency, and you get to train with AI as well.
Step 1: Open the Google app.
Step 2: Click on the icon shown below in the screenshot.
Step 3: A menu will show up on your screen, and you have to click on “Voice” in the menu, which will open the voice options.
Step 4: After clicking on Voice, Menu shown Below will appear. After that Click on Voice Match.
Step 5: Retrain your voice again, then test the device for performance, and if it doesn’t work properly, then you can try again. Remember, you have to say it in the right frequency.
4. Clear Google App Cache
How about clearing the Google app cache? Google app contains information and data that might interfere with Google assistant app, so clearing it resets everything.
Step 1: Go to settings.
Step 2: Tap on Apps in the menu.
Step 3: You have to wait until the menu loads.
Step 4: Scroll down until you find “Google app” in the applications and tap to open it.
Step 5: Tap on storage app.
Step 6: Now, tap on “Clear Cache” of the Google App.
Also, click on the manage storage and clear the data to reset the Google app, then restart your smartphone.
